The first comic book I've ever created was for a class project. The assignment: 4 full pages to be published in a class magazine. The result:
The Doppelganger.
The Doppelganger is a super hero-esque styled telling of the graffiti culture from the perspective of an artist.
Unfortunately, the project was never completed and scrapped. It was a lot slower than the first and didn't keep the readers attention. Though the story would have been a good one, the way it was told wasn't.
The story was supposed to follow the premise of the German doppelganger myth with graffiti as its vehicle: the analogy of graffiti artists and ghosts would get stronger; Ty would meet Lefty; and, inevitably, one of them would die.
Perhaps there's a place in the future for a reboot.
My journey with graffiti in my tales hasn't come to an end.The idea of a new series has been tossed around and I've already "crossed-over" with Rapid Slash Karl.
The new series will include actual artist names and art in the background. Check out this one prominently featuring Stey (OFD SUF) and MOSD (OFD BSB) out of Western Massachusetts.
